|  January 21, 2005 – Since its introduction, ABIT's vGuru™ Technology has given enthusiasts another powerful tool to get the most from their hardware. Hardware enthusiast website Hard|OCP recently took a close look at the ABIT RX600 Pro-Guru, and were very impressed by ABIT's vGuru Technology.
Hard|OCP begins by explaining a little about vGuru: "This technology is known as vGuru. To introduce this new technology ABIT is releasing the ABIT RX600Pro Guru and ABIT RX300SE Guru. vGuru is made up of OCGuru, FanEQ, and ABIT BlackBox. All of these applications are accessed via Windows and allow software control of the hardware of your video card."
But how does vGuru translate into real-world gaming performance? "In FarCry we saw that XTurbo mode did provide faster performance, but it wasn't enough to let us enable a higher image quality setting...In Half Life 2 we were able to slightly raise the Anisotropic level when in XTurbo mode, and did experience faster performance still compared to Normal mode...Need for Speed Underground 2 showed the largest improvement when using XTurbo mode by allowing us to run with 16XAF."
 The conclusion? "We like the technology and idea behind vGuru. ABIT has implemented some unique controls onto a video card that really let the end user tweak the card to their desire. Many of you out there love overclocking your video cards. As we all know with proper cooling increasing the voltages can grant you higher overclocks as we have witnessed with the ABIT RX600Pro Guru. Raising the voltages of the core and memory did allow us to achieve higher overclocks. The OCGuru software application lets you change voltages, temperature monitoring, fan control, and overclock right from one easy menu system...There is great potential here to really get attention from hardware enthusiasts concerned about getting the most out of their video cards."
